Today we saw the video of the award ceremony of Miyazaki-sensei.
The 8th of November, Hayao Miyazaki will receive an honorary award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the Academy's 6th Annual Governors Awards.
Need to know taht Miyazaki is the second Japanese artist to receive an honorary Oscar after the film director Akira Kurosawa.
The presence of Miyazaki was much appreciated, because he is reticent leave Japan.
John Lasseter, the creative director of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios and his friend, introduced him by saying: "In the history of animation, which dates back to earliest years of films itself, there are two figures whose contributions to our artform place them above all of us. The first is Walt Disney, the second is Hayao Miyazaki." and described him as "the most original film director that have ever worked on our medium".
We are very happy for him, the world of his animations made us always dream and always accompanied us.
His talent shows like the classic animation film can still offer a lot of emotions in the new modern age of animation!!
Miyazaki-sensei is always a point of reference for us. Also thanks to him that our passion for creating stories and characters is born.

"My wife always tells me that I am a lucky man. I think I was a lot because I had the good fortune to live in an era when you were still making movies with paper, pencil and film. In addition, Japan has experienced a period of peace when I did the movie, in all the 50 years in which I did. We have received benefits from the wars, but fortunately we did not have an active part.
Nevertheless, my greatest fortune I got it today, being able to meet in person Maureen O'Hara.
For this I am very happy and yes, I'm really lucky to have lived the life I had. Thank you all!"

Craft New Commission: Glass Vase Decoration
A few months ago we received the commission for the decoration of two glass vases. The two vases, different in shape and size, had to have two different decorations: for the large vase we were asked for an abstract motif while for the small vase we had to create designs such as butterflies and ladybugs. The vases in their original state were simply smooth and transparent, without color We used a silver paste, which simulates the lead paste used in the assembly of the stained glass windows, to make the decorations in the vases. Once applied, we let it dry The final result. For the drawing of the butterflies and ladybugs we used a trace of a sketch to make them as precise as possible.
